Holistic nutrition is the use of everyday nutrition and eating habits to improve one’s health.
A Registered Holistic Nutritionist recognizes that each person is an individual with different nutritional needs. One size does not fit all. A holistic nutritionist provides education on nutrition and develops an individualized food, supplement, and lifestyle plan.
Poor nutrition can be a major contributor to many health issues. Proper nutrition addresses many health conditions and supports individual’s goals, including:
• Autoimmune disorders
• Digestive disorders (Leaky Gut and IBS)
• Inflammatory conditions
• Skin conditions
• Weight gain and obesity
• Athletic performance
• Cognitive performance
• Healthy aging
A holistic nutritionist uses natural, whole foods and targeted supplementation to promote longevity, prevent illness, and help recover from health issues. One-on-one consultations allow clients to receive a personalized plan that fits their lifestyle.

About Joanne Levesque
Joanne graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2008 and has spent the last decade educating people on the powers of food. She empowers people to embrace food as a gateway to good health, energy and longevity.
She has worked with Naturopathic doctors for many years. She was on the faculty of the Institute of Holistic Nutrition as a Holistic Food Prep instructor and conducted food workshops for the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She has personally experienced many different eating lifestyles including vegetarian, vegan, ketogenic, and paleo.
Everyone has different dietary needs based on their body type, health goals and health conditions. Joanne aims to educate and to help individuals find their ideal diet and then shows them how to implement the diet through meal planning and cooking workshops.
Joanne understands that knowing your optimal diet is only one component of healthy eating. The much harder component is actually implementing the optimal diet. This means meal planning, choosing recipes, finding and purchasing ingredients, and then taking the time to cook. This takes time and commitment.
Joanne’s customized meal plans contain the following to help with implementation:
• 3 to 7-day plan including breakfasts, lunches, suppers and snacks
• grocery lists
• prep guides
• resource lists
Joanne also provides regular workshops to help demystify nutrition and to demonstrate how to prepare easy recipes. Joanne partners with Jennifer Johrendt, ND to help incorporate holistic meal planning into naturopathic visits.
